Family: We have been married for seven years. We have two sons. Micah and Silas. 99.9% of Paul's family live in Fairview, and Amanda's parents live in Minnesota. Amanda's extended family live all over the Midwest and California.
Why aren't you ever in church:I was an interim Youth and Associate pastor at Fairview MB before we moved to Kansas City to plant a church. Fairview MB is our mother church, which means they have sent us to plant this church. They have graciously committed to keeping me on staff through 2009 as we begin our ministry in Kansas City.
Hobbies: I love to play golf and go running. I also enjoy cooking, video editing and watching sports (particularly OU football).
Favorite Verse: Lamentations 3:21-23 and Micah 6:8
Short Bio on coming to Ministry: In my junior year of high school, I made a life commitment to serving Jesus. Following that time, I changed a great deal over my senior year. Several adults, including my youth sponsor Jana Baum, noticed and pointed out gifts of ministry in me. At that point, I wanted to study journalism and become a journalist. But through the shoulder-tapping of adults, and several ministry and missions opportunities, I realized that I did have gifts for ministry. Throughout the years following my commitment to Jesus in high school, God put a desire in my heart to serve the church, and to reach out to the marginalized (those society and often times the church choose not to love). By my sophomore year in college, I knew that I was being called to full time ministry.

We moved to Kansas City, Missouri in February 2009 to plant a new MB Church.
Micah flew 8 round trip flights before he was 18 months old.
We love to play board games, especially Settlers of Catan.
Amanda was a swimmer and cross-country skier in high school.
Our two favorite places to vacation are Monterey and San Diego, California.
We are seriously addicted to coffee - we love it! And we miss Tin Lion :(
Our favorite bands are David Crowder Band, Caedmon's Call, MAE, and U2.
Amanda hates country music.
Our favorite TV show is The Office.
We love to eat fish tacos!
