"For I was hungry and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me." - Matthew 25:35-36 (This verse has been the foundation for the Serving Christ Outreach Center.)

MINISTRY
Serving Christ Outreach is a ministry that started in November 2003. It began with some donated clothing and household goods. Now, it has grown into a ministry that supplies food, clothing, appliances, and household goods, to hundreds of families each month, in Fairview and surrounding communities.

Families that come into the Outreach are greeted by volunteers, who listen to their needs and life challenges.

There is a needs list that is updated frequently of appliances and furniture that come in and go out.

Beds, dressers, children's furniture, washers, dryers, and diapers are only a few things that are requested daily.

Serving Christ Outreach is operated by volunteers. We know God's love does not stop for his children neither should his children's love stop for each other.

OKLAHOMA FOOD BANK
Each month the Outreach has families that come from Major, Woods, Blaine, Dewey and several other counties to receive food. Food is ordered monthly and picked up in Watonga. Then the food is stored at the Outreach until it has been given out.

There is an income guideline that the Outreach goes by. For example a family of 5 with an income of $784 a week or $3,397 a month would qualify for a food basket.

CASH FOR TRASH
Save your empty inkjet printer cartridges and old cell phones. They have value.

Our organization has found a company that will pay us CASH for empty cartridges and old cell phones.

Recycling these items eliminates thousands of tons of trash in landfills. Recycling makes a huge impact on our environment. Our organization earns $2.25 per inkjet cartridge or cell phone accepted. It is 100% profit for our organization. They then recycle the cartridges and phones and sell them at significant savings to their customers.

HOW CAN I HELP THE SERVING CHRIST OUTREACH CENTER?
  • Donations, Donations, Donations - We accept new & gently used clothing, household items, furniture and appliances
  • Time - We need people who are willing to give their time to serve. Wash and hang clothes, stock food pantry, unload food truck, vacuum, talk to people and get to know them.
  • Are you someone who is handy with working on appliances? We could use your talents.
  • Clothing Drive - Maybe you could start a clothing drive with a church group, a school, or the Boy & Girls Scouts. Anything would be greatly appreciated.
  • We are always in need of prayers
  • Organize a work day with your office, school, church or other organization
  • Fund Raisers - Through out the year at different times the Outreach will have fund raisers to assist in the ministry or maybe you can start one of your own.
LET US HELP YOU!
  • We can pick up your donated items
  • Arrange for a time that suits your schedule
  • We can provide you with a tax deduction on donated items
