Favorite Verse: There are so many favorite verses which people have and some verses change from time to time. Mine do. I am drawn to Hebrews 2:1. "We ought to give closer attention to things which we have heard, least we drift or slip on by them." The preceding chapter gives us a description of the superiority of God's Son. We are to keep our minds, our attention, our life on the Son of God lest we drift away. The Greek term for drift or slip is an Ocean or sea term which means to drift from an anchor. This anchor being Christ Jesus. It takes not effort or work to drift. The emphasis is on we-me. Let us take heed.
Short Bio on coming to Ministry: I was born on a farm during a blizzard on December 13, 1940 at Orienta, 6 miles north of Fairview. I had an active life on the farm & came to know the Lord in March of 1951. I attended Tabor College in Hillsboro, Kansas, which is one of the best things I ever did. I married Marcia Kliewer of Fairview. We have 3 married sons, Andy, Stan, and Dale and 5 grandchildren. I love the Lord, my church family, my job, & all people. I am blessed!
Fun interesting facts of yourself: I love being with the grandchildren. I now know why they are called grand. I love high school sports. I try to see a pro-baseball game and a college football game each year.
